This checker uses the browser Canvas API to detect whether a font is installed. It renders a test string using the target font, then measures the pixel width of the output. If the width matches the fallback font, the target font is not installed; if the width differs, the font is present and being used for rendering.
Legacy Bangla fonts (SutonnyMJ, SolaimanLipi, Siyam Rupali, etc.) use Bijoy or ANSI encoding rather than Unicode. They are still common in Bangladeshi print publishing, government offices, and older software systems.
